Atelier Sophie 2: The Alchemist of the Mysterious Dream is a game that brings a new adventure to the players. The game is a sequel of the previous Atelier Sophie game and revolves around Sophie, an alchemist who sets out to search for her friend Plachta, after they are separated in the dream world of Erde Wiege. The game is developed by Koei Tecmo and is available on the PlayStation 4 platform.
The game features evolved seamless turn-based battles, where players can form two teams of six party members to fight against enemies. The combat system is enriched by special effects and actions, including Dual Trigger skills that involve two team members attacking in unison. The game also features two types of panel-based synthesis, Standard Panel and Restricted Panel, that allows players to create new items by placing ingredients on the panel. Additionally, players can manipulate the weather to access new, previously inaccessible places and change the scenery when visiting the same area.
